Burkina Faso’s striker, Aristide Bancey has officially quit from all international football after enjoying a 17-year career with the Stallions, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Aristide Bance who ked his side to 2013 Africa Cup.of Nations, AFCON final in South Africa, announced his disengagement from international football in the company of the country’s President at the Presidential Headquarters on Tuesday.

Bancey’s football sojourn s took him to various leagues across the globe in countries like Ivory Coast, Germany, Belgium, UAE, Qatar, Finland, South Africa, Egypt, Holland, Latvia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Capped 73 times for the Stallions including the 2013, 2015 and 2017 Africa of Nations and has hit the back of the net 22 times.

Bancey’s last played for his national team in 4-0 win over Cape Verde in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier in November 2017.

The 34 year-old forward helped his Nation reached the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations finals in South Africa where they were beaten 1-0 by the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

He was tagged “Fine Boy” by Nigerians who also described him as “tormentor” during the 2013 AFCON final.
