Warri Wolves Suspend Coach Taju Lamidi After Poor Performances

Nigeria National League, NNL side, Warri Wolves have suspended their head coach, Taju Lamidi after poor performances in the first stanza of the 2018/19 league season, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
Taju guided the Delta State-based club to the final of the 2019 DFA/State Aiteo Cup and qualified the club for the national cup competition for the first time since 2016.
In a statement signed by the club’s management,
it added that interim, assistant coach, Kester Ojo, has been asked to take over and coordinate all activities involving the club in all competitions, beginning from their next home game against Lamray FC at the Warri City Stadium.
The statement reads “Based on recent results and having taking a critical look at the team’s performance in all competitions, the club’s management has decided that Head Coach, Taju Lamidi, should step aside as the team head coach for now, pending when a final decision will be taken. This action takes effect immediately .
“The club reserves the right to post any of its personnel to any position deemed necessary. And the Coach as a civil servant can be posted to anywhere to serve within the club.
“We thank Coach Taju for guiding the team to final of the 2019 DFA/State Aiteo Cup and qualifying the club for the national cup competition for the first time since 2016.
“We appeal to our players and supporters to remain calm.
“In the interim, assistant Coach, Kester Ojo, has been asked to take over and coordinate all activities involving the club in all competitions, beginning from their next home game against Lamray FC at the Warri City Stadium.”
