The President, World Taekwondo Africa, Gen. Ahmed Fouly, is dead, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Fouly until his demise was Vice President of the World Taekwondo Federation.

It was gathered that Gen. Fouly suffered severe heart attack few months ago and was in intensive care at the Al-Aseel Hospital in Hurghada, Egypt.

Prior to his death, the former number one Africa Taekwondoist held many local and international positions, including being the President of the Egyptian Taekwondo Federation, President of the Federation of African Federations “Auxa” and the President of Islamic Solidarity.

The Technical Director, Nigeria Taekwondo Federation, NTF, Chika Chulwumerije described the late Taekwondo icon as “a wonderful, intelligent, empathetic, progressive man who was just and kind.

“My thoughts go out to his wonderful family. May the Almighty grant the fortitude to bear this gigantic loss.

“Rest in Peace our hero! We love you and will always remember you,” he said on Sunday.
