Former Caretake Committee Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association, ANSFA, Chukwuemeka Okeke has been disqualified from Contesting for the same post, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report exclusively.

Mr Okeke was disqualified from the position on Monday after being found guilty of violations of extant laws and status guiding the conduct of the election.

In a ruling made available to our correspondent Tuesday, the Appeal Committee disqualified Mr Okeke after it was discovered that he singlehandedly picked some members of the delegates to vote in the October 30 election in the state.

The Appeal Committee also found him guilty of being the chairman of a Nationwide League One, NLO club chairman, Aspire Football Club.

The ruling titled “THE DECISION OF THE APPEAL COMMITTEE OVER THE PETITION AGAINST Barr. CHUKWUEMEKA F. OKEKE,” and signed by four members of the Appeal Committee including its chairman, Barr. Okey Abazu and Secretary, Onyedika Chijioke also found Mr Okeke guilty of being an intermidiary as his name appeared in serial No. 279 as NFF Licensed Football Intermediary with registration No. NFF/INTD/01/019/083, which offends NFF Integrity initiative Groular Number 1, dated 1/02/2017.

Below is the Appeal Committee’s ruling that nullified Chukwuemeka Okeke’candidature for the ANSFA Chairmanship Position:

The Appeal Committee looked into the appeal especially on these issues

1. Being a party in his own matter over the selection of delegates.

We found that he was instrumental in the registration of fifteen (15) delegates. This was supported by evidence rendered by Prince Michael Mbaezue of Jimbaz Football Club Ihiala.

Also paragraph 3 of his reply to the petition dated 19″ October, 2020 to the Anambra State Football Association Electoral Committee wherein he admitted he nominated some official delegates before he resigned as Caretaker Committee Chairman.

2 On the issue of NFF intermediary; There is a document before the Committee which contains the name of Dr. Chukwuemeka F. Okeke as of today being 26″ October, 2020 wherein his name appeared in serial No. 279 as NFF Licensed Football Intermediary with registration No. NFF/INTD/01/019/083, which offends NFF Integrity initiative Groular Number 1, dated 1/02/2017.

1. On the issue of ownership of a football club; There ts a Nation-wide League 1 document before the committee dated 26″ October, 2020 which shows that Or Chukwuemeka F. Okeke is the Chairman of Aspwe Football cluba positon he should not hold as someone aspinng to the position of Chairman of Anambra State Football Association,

Based on these findings, the Appeal Committee is satisfied that the appeal has merit and therefore disqualifies Dr. Chukwuemeka F. Okeke from contesting as the Chairman of Anambra State Football Association Board in the upcoming October 2020 Election
