Kano Pillars Chairman Assures Of Better CAF Confederation Cup Outing

Chairman of four-time Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Kano Pillars Mr. Surajo Shuaibu says he is confident that his side will qualify for the group stage of the 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup.
Mr.Shuaibu in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Yenagoa said his priority is to go through preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup and also win NPFL title .
He explained that with the arrival of the experience technical adviser last week and the acquisition of nine new players: the Sai Masu Gida side has shown that club was leaving nothing to chance.
Mr.Shuaibu pointed out that the recruitment outside the country was in line with the team’s preparations towards a successful outing in the continental engagement.
On Ayobami Junior, he said the disagreement between Kano Pillars and Shooting Stars of Ibadan is over, because Junior’s contract with 3SC has expired since June/July this years, noting that the club has started playing him his salary.
Mr.Shuaibu while commending the Kano State government for the support given to Kano Pillars; noted that the club would no longer rely on government but would source for avenue to generate revenue by selling replica Jerseys of the club across the nation.
He assured the people of the state and the club’s teeming supporters that the club would aim for laurels in the new season.
When asked about the possibility of playing matches at the Sani Abachi stadium in Kano, Mr.Surajo Shuaibu explained that the Sani Abachi stadium would be used for NPFL games while they wait for CAF approval for either Kaduna or Bauchi.
