EXCLUSIVE: 2020/2021 NPFL Season Postponed

Against expectations that the much awaited 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL will kickoff across the country on Sunday, November 6, 2020; Bestchoicesports.com.ng can authoritatively report that the league will, after all, not commence as announced.
It could be recalled that the League Management Company, LMC, earlier this month announced 6th as the kickoff date.
The announcement was followed by release of match fixtures for the league season.
But our correspondent has scooped that the league has been postponed to a later date.
A competent source who spoke to our correspondent said that the league will not kickoff this weekend as expected adding that the league organisers will issue a statement on the new date this week.
“Your enquiry on the postponment of the league is correct,” the source started anonymously.
“I can confirm to you that the league will not resume on Sunday as was earlier announced. There is speculation that it might commence on 13th November but I can’t say for now
“The league organisers will issue a statement on the postponment within the week,” the source said.
Nigeria Premier league has been in haitus since March after sporting activities were suspended due to outbreak of Covid-19.
