North Africa Football giants, Egypt has withdrawn from the 2020 North Africa Football Union, UNAF after players and officials of the team tested positive for Covid-19, BestChoiceSport.com.ng can report.

According report, Egypt withdrew from the UNAF Under-20 tournament after numerous players and coaches tested positive for covid19.

Their withdrawl, nonetheless will not affect the tournament as it has been reported that the Competition will continue with only 4 teams.

The two finalists of the tournament will qualifying for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations holding in Mauritania next year.

The draw for the U-20 North African Football Union (UNAF) tournament was conducted on 30 November, 2020 in Tunis with five teams

The tournament, which serves as the regional qualifiers for the Total U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Mauritania 2021, commenced today in Tunisia and will last till 27 December, 2020.

With Egypt’s withdrawal, four other countries left in the tournament include hosts Tunisia, Algeria, Libya and Morocco.
