NWFL Club Owners Thanks NFF For FIFA Palliatives
The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Club Owners’ Chairmen/Team Managers Association has expressed their warmest appreciation to the football governing body in the land, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for facilitating the receipt of the Fifa COVID-19 Palliatives by the NWFL Premiership clubs.
The NWFL Club Owners equally commended the NWFL Management Committee headed by Aisha Falode for ensuring that each of the 16 Premiership clubs promptly received their due entitlement.
NWFL Club Owners chairman, Mrs. Matilda Otuene-Onyiloha said the NFF has shown themselves as trustworthy, responsible and sensitive to the yearnings and aspirations of the clubs especially at this trying period of the on-going global outbreak of coronavirus and its strangulating negative impact on sports and other aspect of human endeavours.
Otuene-Onyiloha charged the recipients of the palliatives from Fifa to be prudent and judicious in the use of the lifeline aid as it affects participation in the league campaign and welfare of the entire team.
“We are thankful to the NFF for making available the Fifa COVID-19 Palliatives to the NWFL 16 Premiership clubs.
“Our appreciation too goes to the NWFL Management Committee for seeing to it that clubs truly receive their due entitlement.
“The football body, NFF has shown that they are in constant touch with the yearnings of the clubs and equally listen and ever ready to mitigate on the various challenges.
“I appeal to the various recipients to make good use of the palliatives to alleviate some of the teething challenges facing their respective clubs.
“And I urge the clubs to deepen their support for the football bodies and ensure each of them give their best in the on-going Premiership season,” said Otuene-Onyiloha who doubles as the General Manager of NWFL Premiership side, Rivers Angels.
