Rangers International F.C has described the former Captain of the team Coach Christian Chukwu as a legend of the club that cannot be abandoned at his trying period.
According to the management of the Flying Antelopes,  the coach and former national team captain,  Christian Chukwu (Mfr) is been supported to recover from a life threatening health challenge.
The General Manager of the ‘Flying Antelopes’, Prince Davidson Owumi, described talks of abandonment of the national icon as untrue, saying that the government has been up and doing to ensure that  the coach gets back to his feet.
“Rangers management and the state government under the leadership of  Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has been up and doing since coach Christian Chukwu was met with this health challenge. We, Rangers made the initial deposit for his admission  at Nike Clinic, GRA, Enugu and after informing the state government of his condition, the sum of One million, five hundred thousand naira was made available to his family for his treatment. He is right now in a hotel recovering from the treatment carried out on him.”
Owumi further revealed that the club has made the initial deposit needed for treatment to commence on him.
The Super Eagles chief coach, is down with an undisclosed ailment and consequently needs the sum of $50,000 to be flown abroad for medical treatment.
