Plateau State Teqball Chairman Commends NIGTEQ, Promises Unforgettable Challenger

It was a celebration galore at the Plateau State Teqball Association Secretariat on Tuesday after the State was pronounced host of the maiden edition of the National Challenger Series by the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Teqball Federation(NIGTEQ).
A visibly joyful and fulfilled Chairman of Teqball on the Plateau, Chief Miri Timnan Nyantau, promised the Teqball family an exceptional host by a State known for hospitality and tourists haven.
He thanked the National Executives for finding the Plateau State worthy of hosting the first ever Teqball National Challenger Cup.
In his words: “We’re ready and good to go.
Thanks immensely to our hardworking National President and the Executives for finding us worthy of hosting the first ever Teqball National Challenger Cup.
Be assured of a warm and exceptional outing because the State is blessed with a sports loving government headed by Governor Simon Bako Lalong.”
On receiving the cheering news, former National Sports Commission Director General, Mallam Alhassan Yakmut Saleh felicitates with PLATEQ and Plateau State in general and promised to contribute his own little quota in making the hosting a success.
He also commended the National body for their wisdom, according to him, “The National body have made a right choice by awarding the hosting right to Home of Peace and Tourism, full of sporting records and achievements.”
Alhassan Yakmut, the quintessential administrator, who clocked 60 on May 5, 2021, is currently in Jos sponsoring and overseeing the ongoing North Central Volleyball Classics.
It would be recalled that NIGTEQ General Secretary, Mr. Ndudi Edede made the hosting right public after the National Executive Committee meeting, chaired by the President of the Teqball Federation, Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, that the hosting right of the 1st National Challenger Cup has been awarded to Plateau State.
The series, which will hold in two cities in Plateau State between the 26th of July to the 1st of August, 2021, will be club-based participation.
