Nigeria Professional Football League side, Rangers International FC of Enugu Wednesday thrashed visiting Jigawa Golden Stars 3 -0 in the matchday 23 clash in Enugu, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report

Basking in the euphoria of their 1-1 draw against Akwa United in previous league game in Uyo, Rangers showed class and creativity in dispatching the Badaru Boys at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, tagged “the Cathedral”.

Christian Nnaji opened the goalscoring account with a 27th minute finish before Godspower Aniefiok provided the security goal needed in the early stages of the second half.

Ibrahim Awoyin ensured that spirited efforts by the visitors to bounce back into the game was dashed when he scored the third goal in 57minute.

The victory ensured that Rangers did the double against Jigawa Golden Stars in the 2020/2021 NPFL season after wining the first leg 1-0 away in Kaduna.

Despite the victory the Flying Antelopes are unmoved on the league table as they remained 6th with 37 points from 22 matches, 7 points behind league leaders Kano Pillars who have played one game more.

Up next, Rangers will be on the road in matchday 24 as they will be guests to FC Ifeanyiubah in Nnewi on Sunday.
