The draw of the 2021 African cup of Nations tournament will be conducted on Sunday, August 15th 2021 at the 2000 capacity Yaounde Conference hall, barely five months to the kick-off of the tournament.

The draw ceremony will see 24 African countries drawn into six groups of four each to battle for the most prestigious continental jamboree.

The AFCON expected to be played from January 16th to February 15th 2022 across six sides in Cameroon.

CAF Member Associations especially those whose teams will be at the tournament about the upcoming event.

The draw of the final phase of the 2021 TotalEnergies African Cup, originally planned June 25, 2021, was postponed due to logistical and COVID-19 related reasons.

24 countries including host – Cameroon, and defending champions Aligeria are through to the finals alongside Nigeria, Ethiopia, Sudan, Malawi, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Egypt, Gambia, Gabon, Comoros, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Tunisia, Mali, Senegal, Mauritania, Guinea Bissau, Sierra Leone and Cape Verde.

This is the second time Cameroon is hosting the event and this time around it is an expanded competition for 24 nations.
