2022 Community Shield: Two Cities Battle For EPL Curtain Raiser

The 2021/2022 English Premiership League, EPL curtain raiser, the Community Shield will see two cities – Manchester City and Leicester City – battle for the traditional troohy this weekend.
The traditional FA Community Shield, which is a curtain-raiser for a new Premier League season is set for this Saturday with 2020/2021 EPL Champions, Manchester City taking on FA Cup winners, Leicester City to determine who goes into the league with the bragging rights.
The match normally pitties the Premier League Champions and FA Cup winners to herald each new season.
Pep Guardiola’s side romped to the league title last season, with the Foxes beating Chelsea 1-0 in the FA Cup finals.
Unlike City, who lost the likes of Eric Garcia and Sergio Aguero, Brendan Rodgers’ side have been busy in the transfer window, bringing in the likes of Boubakary Soumare and Patson Daka ahead of the new season.
