CAF Champions League: Rivers United Throw Gates Open As Wike Redeems $100, 000 Pledge

The Management of Rivers United have declared gates will be thrown open for fans to watch the club’s Champions League Clash against Al Hillal on Sunday.

This was made known by the Sole Administrator of the Club Barrister Christopher Green.

Green was emphatic about the fans’ influence and role in a crucial match as this.

The former NFF board member stated clearly plans have been made to ensure fans in their numbers will have access to watch the match.

Confederation of African Football CAF had granted the Pride of Rivers Concession to allow 10,560 fans for the match.

Meanwhile, Rivers State Governor Barrister Nyesom Wike has redeemed promise of One Hundred Thousand dollars ($100,000) to players of Rivers United for win over Young Africans of Tanzania.

The governor who fulfilled the promise on Thursday also made another One Hundred Thousand dollars ($100,000) reward for a win on Sunday against Al Hilal FC of Sudan.

The Sole Administrator of Rivers United FC Barrister Chris Green made the presentation Thursday evening during the team’s training session at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Rivers state.
