LMC Expels Niger Tornadoes Goalkeeper Trainer, Bello Mohammed From NPFL

The League Management Company, LMC have expelled Niger Tornadoes Goalkeeper Trainer, Bello Mohammed from the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL and any other activities involving the league, www.besychoicesports.com.ng can report.

In a judgment released on Monday, the LMC noted that coach Mohammed assaulted the referee in charge of their matchday 5 NPFL fixture against Rivers United in Kwara State on Saturday.

The LMC noted that “…in that on Saturday, the 8 of January 2022, you assaulted the Referee, whereby you struck several blows to his face as he proceeded towards the dressing room after the match.”

While stipulating the various rules guiding the NFL which coach Mohammed ran foul of, the LMC recommended that the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF reviewed his coaching license as he has failed to live up to the dictates of his coaching certification

LMC Sanction letter to Bello Mohammed

The release made on Monday and obtained by our correspondent reads: “Upon a review of the Matchday 5 fixture: Niger Tornadoes vs. Rivers United, you are hereby charged with breach of Rule C11 of the Framework and Rules of the Nigeria Professional Football League (the League Rules) in that on Saturday, the 8 of January 2022, you assaulted the Referee, whereby you struck several blows to his face as he proceeded towards the dressing room after the match.

“Consequently, the LMC intends to exercise its summary jurisdiction and to Impose on you the following sanctions:

a) Immediate expulsion from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and any NPFL-organized activitles;

b) a recommendation to the Nigeria Football Federation to review your coaching license as you have failed the threshold to be a coach under the NFF license.

“In accordance with Rule C26, you are required, within 48 hours of the date of this notice, to elther:

(1) submit to the summary jurisdiction and the sanctions contained herein; or

(2) elect to be dealt with by e disciplinary panel. . Any such election must be in writing addressed to the undersigned at the office of the LMC. Should you submit to the summary jurisdiction an the prescribed sanctions, kindly note that the fines therein are to be paid within 7 working days.

“Note that In accordance with Rule £1, where an appeal or election to be dealt with by a disciplinary panel fails or is found to have been frivolous, such party may be liable to such additional sanction(s) as may be deemed fit in the circumstances” the release signed by the Chief Operating Officer, Salihu Abubakar read.
