Determined to give the Super Eagles of Nigeria all the necessary support to pick the Qatar ticket, the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Supporters Club, ANFASSC and Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN FCT have entered into a partnership to ensure that scaled Black Stars of Ghana hurdles and qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, www.bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

In the Memorandum of Understanding, MoU signed on Wednesday at the SWAN Office in Abuja, the two bodies are working together to ensure that at least 5000 supporters are airlifted to Ghana for the first leg of the Qatar 2022 World Cup playoffs to support the Eagles.

The project is to ensure that the Super Eagles never lacked support as they take on the Black Stars in the first leg scheduled for Ghana.in March

Speaking at a World Press Conference in Abuja on Wednesday, Abayomi Ogunjimi, President of ANFASSC called on Nigerians to put behind them the team’s ouster from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations AFCON in Cameroon and support the players for the greater glory

“It is time Nigerians put the defeat of Super Eagles at AFCON 2021 behind them and focus on the task ahead which is to ensure that the team qualify for World Cup in Qatar.

“I am pained by what happened in Cameroon but one thing that gave me joy is the way the Super Eagles played and the commitment of our players, so, that is why we have deemed it fit to partner SWAN for this project which will raise the level of awareness and to increase support for the team ahead of the match’

In his speech, the Chairman of Sports Writers Association, FCT Chapter, Comrade Bunmi Haruna said said he was impressed by the partnership adding that the sports writers will collaborate effectively with ANFASSC to give the team the needed push to pick the ticket

“There is no better time to embark on a project like this than now, when Nigerians need to take their minds off what happened in Cameroon and focus on World Cup playoffs.

“I am really impressed with the vision of this project which is why we are putting everything to ensure that Eagles qualify for World Cup’,so we are calling on corporate Nigerians to see this as Nigerian project and jump on it’

“We need to turn Ghana to Nigeria on March 23rd .”

Nigeria is scheduled to take on Ghana in Qatar 2022 World Cup playoffs with the first leg in Ghana.

The Confederation of Africa Football, CAF is yet to announce a fixed date for the two-leg home-and-away play-off.
