Peter Edokpolor Targets Highest Goal Scorer’s Award As AMAC Coaches Unity Cup Enters Matchday 2

A student of Nigeria Tulip International College, NTIC, Peter Edokpolor has set for himself the target of scooping the Golden Boot Award at the ongoing 2022 Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC Football Coaches Unity Cup Tournament, in Abuja.

Peter who plays for his school team, N-Youth Sports Academy, stated this in an interview on Monday after he scored two goals to help his team defeat De Warriors FC 3-0 in the opening match.

Going home with the Man of the Match award, Peter said that winning the competition is also a priority the team will pay attention to.

“My target is to win the competition and highest goal scorer. I want to score more goals in every match.

“Football is about ability and what you can do on the pitch. We are ready to win the competition,” he said.

His coach, Mr Ernest Enya explained why the school decided to participate in the 3rd edition of the AMAC Football Coaches Unity Cup

“Development. We want to build the players, give them opportunities. You know the importance of exposure in football. We see the tournament as an avenue where we can expose our players.”

A total of 4 matches were played in the opening day with De Warriors losing 3-0 to N-Youth Sports Academy.

Pride FC showed pride and class as they walloped Daniel FA 5-1 in the second match. Turf Arena pipped Tiki-Taka 1-0, same scoreline Zango FC recorded in their victory against Rising Stars FC.
