Chelsea, Leganes Negotiate Omeruo’s Permanent Transfer
Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo may be a permanent player of Spanish club CD Leganes as negotiation begins with parent side Chelsea, Bestchoicesports.com.ng understands.
Chelsea, according to reports in the Spanish media, have demanded €7m (£6.2m) for the versatile defender, but Leganes are only willing to pay €4m (£3.5m) .
Omeruo spent the 2018-19 season on loan with Leganes and made 28 La liga appearances for the club.
The 25-year-old joined Chelsea from Belgian Standard Liege in 2012 but he is yet to play an official game for the Blues.
He also spent time on loan at Eredivisie club ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Turkish clubs; Kasimpasa and Alanyaspor.
Omeruo is currently in Asaba, Delta state with the Super Eagles preparing for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
