Flying Eagles Arrive Lagos Today After U-20 AFCON Tournament

Nigeria’s U-20 male team, the Flying Eagles will arrive Nigeria today after they won bronze medal at the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Egypt.
The team handled by Ladan Bosso will arrive the country through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
The team departed Egypt on Sunday night in transit in Casablanca, Morocco.
Their departure came after the Ambassador of Nigeria to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Ambassador Nura Abba Rimi honoured for winning bronze at the tournament
Ambassador Rimi received the entourage of the Nigeria U-20 boys at the town hall of the Nigeria Embassy in Cairo, Egypt on Saturday .
The diplomat expressed satisfaction with the performance of the team during the tournament while congratulating players and officials for successfully qualifying for the forthcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup finals in Indonesia.
The team won the Fair Play award while defender, Solomon Agbalaka was selected among the Best Team of the tournament
The draw for the 2023 U-20 World Cup will hold on March 31 in Jakarta. The tournament will hold from May 10 to June 12, this year.
Nigeria, Gambia, Senegal and Tunisia are Africa’s representatives.
