Nigeria’s Super Eagles will begin coming for their matchday 5 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone in Lagos on Sunday, June 11.

The encounter which is their penultimate match will hold a week after inside the Samuel Kanyon Stadium in Liberia’s capital, Monrovia.

The Leone Stars have been playing all their home qualifiers away from home following CAF’s rejection of their stadia for not meeting global standard

Super Eagles, Group A leaders, will camp in Lagos for the game and will train at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

The Samuel Kanyon Stadium in Monrovia has artificial turf same with the playing surface of the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan where the three-time African champions will train.

Super Eagles are seeking to qualify for the 2023 continental showpiece after their poor showing at the 2021 edition in Cameroon early last year.

The Jose Peseiro led Eagles currently tops Group A with nine points and needs just a win in their two remaining matches to book their ticket to Cote D’Ivoire, the host nation

Sierra Leone are third on the log with five points from four matches, two points behind second placed Guinea Bissau.

All three teams have equal chances of qualifying for the tournament but only the two best teams will secure the tickets from the group

Nigeria will play their last qualifier on September 8 against bottom placed Sao Tome and Principe.

The match will hold at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State
