Niger Tornadoes’ dynamic attacking midfielder and top-scorer, Joseph Godstime has resumed full training with his teammates after a nagging injury that kept him out of action for a significant chunk of the NPFL25 second round.

Godstime who has scored 5 goals and assisted 4 so far this season said he is back and ready to help his team to swim out of the current predicament starting from tomorrow’s game.

In an interview shortly before the team’s walk-out at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna ahead of the MD36 clash with Abia Warriors, Godstime said the club had it good in the first stanza of the league as a result of the away wins which stem from the players consistent togetherness, zeal and determination to succeed.

He said the second round was characterised by injuries to key players including himself and the likes of Victor Okoro and Ifeanyi Okechukwu which made it a little difficult for the team to grind out results. He said even though his colleagues did their best, the injuries contributed to the lack result in the recent games.

Godstime expressed his readiness to help the team overcome their current challenges, starting with the upcoming match against Abia Warriors.

“Thank God now, I’m back in the team with the zeal and grace of God to make it happen. We have just three games to go, and I believe in myself and teammates and what we are capable of doing to make sure that the team is safe from relegation.”

Against Abia Warriors, “I know I’ll not be able to do it alone without the help of my teammates, but I believe and have this strong hope that we are going to win the match.”

The Ikon Allah Boys equally welcome back Ifeanyi Okechukwu and Victor Okoro after a long lay off and are battle ready for for tomorrow’s game.
