In today’s rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) fixtures, former champions, Enyimba FC finally halted their miserable early-season slump by securing their first victory of the campaign, while defending champions Enugu Rangers recorded a crucial win away to climb to the top of the standings.

Nine-time champions Enyimba FC entered the day in crisis after suffering a nightmare start to the season with four consecutive defeats and a draw. However, the Aba-based side turned things around in a thrilling 6-goal encounter at home, overcoming Shooting Stars 4–2 to pocket their first 3 points of the NPFL campaign.

In far away Ozoro, defending champions Enugu Rangers produced a clinical away performance against Warri Wolves. The Flying Antelopes took control of the game, scoring in the first half through a spot kick converted by Godwin Obaje in the 10th minute of the match to seal a vital 1–0 victory on the road. The win moves Rangers to the summit of the NPFL table with 13 points

In the Lagos derby rescheduled match, Sporting Lagos and Ikorodu City played out a tense 0–0 draw at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena. Both sides created chances but lacked the decisive edge to break the deadlock.

The expected clash between Katsina United and Rivers United was put on hold and did not kick off as scheduled.
