With 20 days to the 2026 All Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT), the tournament’s Technical Director, Julius Fadairo, has assured participating teams of thorough technical preparations, including the readiness of caddies to support golfers throughout the continental championship.

Fadairo said the technical team had inspected the course at the IBB International Golf & Country Club, Abuja, and was satisfied with the level of work carried out ahead of the tournament.

He added that arrangements were also being made to ensure caddies are ready to deliver the support required, helping players enjoy the course and compete in an enabling environment.

According to the Technical Director, the goal is to provide suitable playing conditions and a smooth experience for all participating teams, with attention to the technical and operational details that contribute to a successful championship.

The assurance comes as Nigeria steps up preparations to welcome women golfers from across Africa for the six-day competition.

Nigeria will host the AACT for the third time, having previously staged the championship in 1996 at Ikoyi Club 1938 in Lagos and in 2010 at the IBB International Golf & Country Club in Abuja.

The 2026 edition is scheduled for November 2 to 7 at the Abuja venue, bringing together teams from across the continent to compete for the prestigious title.

With the course inspection completed and preparations extending to caddie services and the overall playing environment, the countdown continues towards Nigeria’s hosting of another major event on the African golfing calendar.
