Bayelsa United were Sunday held to a two all draw by visiting Abia Comet football club in a matchday seven encounter of the Nigeria National League at the Samson Siasia Stadium Yenagoa, Bestchoicesports.con.ng can report.

Technical Adviser of Bayelsa United, Makeme Fekete made few changes from the starting eleven that lost 3-2 to Giant Brillers FC with goalkeeper Matthew Muyiwa, Bina Tombiri and Martins Owenaeni making the starting eleven for the first time.

Midfielder Martins Owenaeni gave Bayelsa United the lead in the 5th minute of the through a solo effort while Abdulkareem mumin restore parity for Abia Comet in the 13th through a defensive sleep to go pass Matthew Muyiwa.

However Okiki Mustapa could have made it two in 24th minute but it was disallowed by the centre referee for offside before making it 2-1 in the 36th through Hassan Oladimeji cross. 

The second half resume with the Restoration Boys mounting pressure on visitors as experience centre back Emenike Nkume and Bright Esieme were careful not to allow  Esobe Chukwudi and Zechariah Sunday penetrate from the wings.

The draw leaves Bayelsa United with eight point after back to back draws at home with Shooting Stars and Abia Comets as they prepare to take on bottom place Osun United while Abia Comet host 3SC in the home in the last game of the season.

After game Technical Adviser of Bayelsa United Makeme Fekete disappear from the post match interview as he was no where to be found around the Stadium.

Technical Adviser of Abia Comet Bethel Orji attributed his side second half display  to the absent of Bayelsa United midfielder Bernard Okorowanta in the second half as a result of injury.

He stressed his target at the moment is to pick three points against Shooting Stars in their next game.
