Satec FC Battles FC Robo In The Final Of AMALA Gold Cup
It’s an all Mushin affair in this year’s AMALA Gold Cup competition Schedule to hold at the Bishop Aggey Memorial School Mushin LAGOS.
To reach the final, Satec FC navigated their way from Group A of the competition with three draws and swept aside Twins FC in the last eight 2-1.
DVR FC pushed Satec FC hard in the semi-finals played at the Abati Barracks Stadium on Thursday. Satec FC needed the fortune of spot kicks to hop in to the final 5-4.
On the other hand FC Robo advanced in to the quarter finals from Group C, before stopping Success FC 2-1 and they had to wait longer to reach the final as the semi-finals clash with Victory FC went into penalties.
Full time score was one all but victory eluded Victory FC in the shootout 7-6 it ended in favour of FC Robo.
Tournament director Osca Emmanuel Ezinwa told First Zealmediacast blog that they are working round the clock to stage a befitting final and he urge teams preparing for the 2019/2020 Nigeria Premier Football League to snap up talented young players.
Aweda Olatunji Rasaq is footing the bill of the competition aimed at developing the beautiful game in Lagos from the grassroots as well as creating a platform for friendship among the teeming youth across the Lagos State.
