NFF Retains Rohr, Send Him On Refresher Course
Despite the hues and cries by many Nigerians to the Nigeria Football Federation NFF to relieve Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr of is duties, there are indications that the federation might not bow to the pressure as the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick has stated that the German coach will not be sacked, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report
Mr Pinnick in series of tweets with respected Nigerian said the Federation had no plan to relieve Rohr of his duties despite the Super Eagles crashing out in the semi-final stage of the AFCON
The former Delta State FA chairman said Rohr has met the target set for him by the Federation, despite some rocky and difficult moments they’ve had together, adding that the Franco-German is a good coach by all standards.
“Gernot Rohr will not be sacked as @NGSuperEagles coach. He will remain in the job. I have complete confidence in him,” @thenff President @PinnickAmaju told @osasuo on Monday night. “Gernot has taken us to the semi-final, the target we set for him…
“Right now, we have a third-place match to play for and we intend to have our team leave Egypt with honours,” Pinnick
“@PinnickAmaju: “There are some people that have been calling on me and the federation to sack Gernot. But I am not going to do that. In fact, Gernot is going on a refresher training period with @FCBayernEN, after the AFCON,” he tweeted.
