Alex Iwobi’s Everton debut Ends In Defeat
It was a bad start for Alex Iwobi who made his Everton debut in a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa in the English Premier League on Friday.
Iwobi did not start the game but was thrown into action in the 61st minute when he replaced Gylfi Sigurdsson.
But that was after Aston Villa had taken a lead in the 22nd minute through Wesley.
Iwobi went closest to scoring for Everton, driving a low effort against the right-hand post at 1-0.
Iwobi was unlucky in the 82nd minute when he hit the post. He met a Keane header sharply on the run, brings the ball down with a superb first touch and then thuds it low off the base of the upright from 15 yards.
Home fans at Villa Park were sent into wild celebration when Anwar El Ghazi grabbed the winner in the 90th minute to record a first victory on their return to the EPL from relegation.
