Every Nigerian club should emulate Enyimba – John Obuh
Akwa United’s recently appointed Technical Adviser John Obuh believes Enyimba have the organization to follow.
Obuh is of the view that Enyimba’s sustained CAF pedigree (including two CAFCL titles) and eight NPFL titles, are all as a result of what the club does behind doors.
“Enyimba has proved over time that they have the experience to manage a football club; qualifying for continental football and so on, I actually think it’s something we would have to go find out how do they do it,” Obuh told Brila.
“Enyimba is in the same competition with the rest of Nigeria, yet, they’re waxing strong on the continent for Nigeria.”
Obuh went to presume a couple of the areas he believes the club pays top priority towards, especially player management.
“So, I think it’s something that has to do with managerial ability; trying to focus and pay more attention to the quality of players you have, because most times you don’t have top quality players on ground.”
“You’ll have a lot of recruitment to do, but if there are quality players, then you want them to help bolster the squad for competitions and I think, that’s the secret behind the team’s success,” concluded the former U-20 coach.
