NFF Corruption: ICPC To Pinnick, Dikko – Do The right Thing, Integrity Pays

Determined to get to the root of stinking monumental corruption and maladministration perpetrated by the officials of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF under the leadership of Amaju Pinnick as president, the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission, ICPC Friday cautioned Mr Amaju and his 2nd Vice, Alhaji Shehu Dikko, to always do the right thing because integrity pays, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The anti-corruption agency gave the advice after it sealed off mansions and residence belonging to messrs Amaju and Dikko in Lagos and Abuja, respectively.

The sealing of the two building was in continuation of fresh scandal bothering on financial thievery carried out by the duo among others in the Glass house.

Dikko’s house, located at number 1, River Benue Close, Maitama, Abuja, was sealed on Friday morning, before officials of the ICPC again proceeded to seal Pinnick’s mansion in Park view Estate, Lagos, in the afternoon, according to Punch.

ICPC confirmed the development in their official Tweeter handle.

“ICPC places under investigation, mansion belonging to Amaju Pinnick, President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) located in Park View Estate, Lagos.

“The Commission has also placed a mansion in Maitama, Abuja, belonging to Shehu Dikko, 2nd Vice President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Chairman of League Management Company of Nigeria, under investigation.

Spokesperson of the ICPC, Rasheedat Okoduwa, told Saturday PUNCH that the houses were sealed by the agency after fresh evidence of corruption against the NFF bigwigs emerged.

“We have fresh information that we are working on at the moment, which involves Shehu Dikko and some other people.

“I cannot give you the details of the information at the moment because we are carrying out due investigation; releasing such details will enable others who we have on the list tighten up and hide some of the documents that will be helpful,” the spokesperson said.

NFF officials are facing charges and cases relating to financial impropriety with Economi and Finacial Crimes Commission, EFCC and the Special Presidential Investigation Panel on the Recovery of Public Property (SPIP), SPIP, took Amaju Pinnick, Shehu Dikko, Seyi Akinwunmi and others to court over monumental corruption and diversion of funds meant for football development in the country.

They are expected to appear before the Abuja High Court on 26th September to stand trials in one of the cases instituted against them by SPIP.
