European football governing body UEFA has announced venues for the next three Champions League finals.

Saint Petersburg’s Gazprom Arena, Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena and London’s Wembley will host the finals from 2021 to 2023, following the confirmation made on Tuesday during a meeting in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana.

Atatürk Olympic Stadium, Turkey will host this season’s finals, taking over from the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid last season, where Liverpool were crowned champions.

2021 will be the second time Russia is hosting the Champions League finals, following the 2008 match between English sides Manchester United and Chelsea at the Luzhniki Stadium, where United beat the Blues on post-match penalties.

Chelsea fans still have fond memories of the Allianz Arena, with Didier Drogba’s penalty handing them the crown against Bayern in 2012 in front of a fully-packed stadium.

Wembley saw Champions League action recently when Bayern exorcised demons that had haunted them in the competition’s finals to beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 and win the title.

Prior to the all-German final, the stadium had hosted the 2011 finals between Barcelona and Manchester United, with the Spanish side emerging victorious in a 3-1 win.
