Cheering news from Doha, Qatar, venue of the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championship has it that the duo of Nigeria sprinters, Blessing Okagbare and Divine Odudu have been cleared by the IAAF to compete for the 200m and relay race, Bestchoicesports.com.ng.

The duo were initially disqualified following their withdrawal from the the 100m which generated lots of controversies even back home.

Blessing and Divine had on Sunday morning appealed against the disqualification.

“Both Blessing Okagbare and Divine Oduduru have been cleared by the IAAF to compete in the 200m and relays for Nigeria, following their earlier disqualification. Oduduru will now compete in heat 1 of men’s 200m & will face Ramil Guliyev & Adam Gemili,” Making of Champions, said on its Twitter few minutes ago.

The Honourable minister of youth and sports l, Sunday Dare had ordered immediate enquiry into the ignominy occasioned by the initial disqualification.
