The final of the FWC Champions FCT Secondary Schools Football Tournament will now hold on Friday, November 8th at the FWC Champions Fortress, Wuye, Abuja.

The final was earlier scheduled to hold on Friday, November 1, 2019, but the Local Organizing Committee in a statement said there is a need to have dignitaries grace the event, as well as make it colourful.

According to the statement, it has been observed that some of the dignitaries which include the President and Chairman Management Board of FWC Champions Football Club, Pastor Sarah Omakwu and Pastor Yakubu Adamu Yola among others including the Chairman and Vice Chairman of FCT Secondary Education Board will only be available on the new date, November 8th which prompted the decision.

The statement reads “The Local Organizing Committee of the FWC Champions FCT Secondary Schools Football Tournament wishes to announce to the general public that the final of the competition will now be played on November 8, 2019.

“Following a recent interaction with all the major stakeholders of the tournament, we agreed that the new date, November 8th will be best to host the final so as to have the presence of all dignitaries that desire to grace the event.

“We therefore apologize for the inconvenience the development might cause but we assure you that the decision is aimed at ensuring a perfect and worthy ceremonial final.”

Government Day Secondary School Abaji (GDSS Abaji) and Government Secondary School Giri (GSS Giri) are the finalists.
