Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen could miss Nigeria vs South Africa AFCON semi-final clash on Wednesday

This is because the Africa Footballer of the Year winner did not travel with the team to Bouake today, venue of their Wednesday’s battle.

The 2024 Serie A Golden Boot winner is currently having “abdominal discomfort” and is under medical supervision.

“We will fly from Abidjan to Bouaké today via a 10pm Air Cote D’Ivoire flight. Victor Osimhen will not join us on this trip as a result of an abdominal discomfort.

“Team medics confirmed that he has been placed under close watch with a member of the medical team staying behind in Abidjan with him. If cleared by tomorrow morning, he will join the rest of the squad before 5pm,” Super Eagles Media Officer, Babafemi Raji confirmed on Monday night.

Nigeria will take South Africa on Wednesday by 6pm for a place in the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON 2023 final.
