The maiden edition of Association of Grassroots Football Coaches, AGFC Private Schools Football Champions will commence today, in Aba, Abia State, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

A total of 20 privately owned secondary schools will take part in the 9-day competition.

In a chat with Bestchoicesports.com.ng, the Public Relations Officer of the association, Uduma Godwill Mba said that the participating schools are made of 12 male and 8 female secondary schools.

He pointed out that the competition which starts today will end on November 5th 2019.

In the opening match which has kicked off, Erudite Model is battling Nneka Model.

The second match of the will see Wagon Faith Vs World International.
Brain Field ACA will entertain Ultimate Heroes by noon.
The last match of the day will be between Brain Field International Vs John Wesley by 1pm

Mr Mba while wishing the teams success said that the essence of the championship was to
“Secure, ensure, encourage, fish out, groom and nurture young talents and revive secondary school sports.

“The is no age limit but the competition is strictly for students. External students are not allowed
and any student who have sat for WAEC, whether he os he is SS1, will not be allowed to participate.

“Student who have missed up to 2 or 3 academic terms or whose mate have sat for WAEC is not allowed to play,” he said.
