Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa on Monday returned to his home boyhood club, Kano Pillars as he made a brief stopover at the club he started his career from on his arrival to Nigeria for the Super Eagles 2022 World Cup clash with Central Africa Republic, CAR on Friday.

The former Leicester City attacker made a quick stop at his boyhood club Kano Pillars as he returned from Turkey to honour his national team call up.

“It was a memorable moment for some Kano Pillars academy players seeing the legend live and Musa didn’t disappoint as he took time to take photos converse with the staff and players before leaving the facility.

“The humility and love this guy receives is well and truly deserved. One of the most professional and humble player Nigeria has ever produced,” a Facebook blogger said.

Recall that Musa signed for the four-time Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL champions earlier in the year but left in August after he secured a transfer move to to Turkey’s
Fatih Karagümrük.

Super Eagles will this Friday take on CAR on first leg of a double-header before travelling to Duoala, Cameroon for the return leg on Sunday.

The former CSKA Moscow star man is among the 22 players already in camp in Lagos perfecting strategies ahead of the two crucial games.
