Dreamland Academy Battles Jazzy Stars In 8th Dreamland/Embassy Of Hungary U-19 Cup Final

Dreamland Academy from Abia State, will battle Jazzy Stars from Jos, Plateau State in the final of the 8th edition of the Dreamland/Embassy of Hungary U-19 Cup Competition in Abuja on Sunday.
Dreamland qualified for the final after defeating Goddosky FC from Anambra State 1-0 in the first semi-final match played on Saturday at the Turf Arena, River Plate Garden, Central Business District, Abuja.
Hashim Mohammed scored the only goal of the match in the first half to hand the Abia State Academy their second final appearance in two editions.
It could be recalled that the Dreamland Academy won the 6th edition of the tournament held in May, 2019 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
On their part, Jazzy Stars needed to wait till the penalty shootout to confirm their passage to the final after their semi-final clash with Jamba FC from Kaduna State ended goalless in regulation time.
Jazzy defeated Jamba 4-1 on Penalties to progress to the final. The Jos-based side were quarter-finalists in the 7th edition held two years ago.
The final of the tournament which started on Wednesday, December 1, will be played by 2pm at the same venue.
The winner of the tournament will go home with a giant trophy while exceptional players selected will go to Europe to sign professional careers with European clubs.
12 Clubs/academies took part in the 5-day, 8th edition of the tournament.
The tournament which started in Abia State in 2013 have produced talented players who are currently plying their trade in Europe.
