Former Nigeria U-17 Golden Eaglets player, Akinkunmi Amoo is set to appear at the District Court in Denmark in June on alleged charges bothering on sexual assault

The 22 year-old wing player will appear in the court on June 23rd, 2023 on alleged sexual assault and other two unspecified charges.

According to Obayiuwana Osasu who revealed this on his Twitter on Tuesday, he added that Amoo was initially arrested on September 10th 2022 and was released on bail on October 7th of the same year.

striker Akinkunmi Amoo is due to appear in a district court in Copenhagen, Denmark on June 23rd, to respond to charges of alleged sexual assault and two other unspecified counts.

“Amoo is currently in Nigeria. Amoo was initially arrested on September 10th 2022 and was released on bail on October 7th of the same year.

“The criminal charges against Amoo were laid by Danish authorities in April, July and August 2022,” he twitted.

He made 4 appearances for the club so far scoring just once.

22 years Amoo signed a five-year contract with F.C. Copenhagen in the Danish Superliga on January 31, 2021. The fee was reportedly set at around €4.4 million, plus bonuses and a sell-on clause, making it a record breaking transfer for Hammarby.

He also became one of Copenhagen’s record arrivals, in the same region as Pep Biel and Ísak Bergmann
