Tyson Fury’s co-promoter Bob Arum insists that a potential fight with Anthony Joshua should take place in the USA, Bestchoicesports.com.ng understands.

The Top Rank boss believes the bout can make more money in the US than in the UK

Fury recently opted out of a rematch with Deontay Wilder and will now face Tom Schwarz on June 15 instead, with the aim of gaining exposure Stateside before setting up another big showdown.

Bob Arum told reporters: “Fury is gonna be made into a huge attraction in the United States, which he isn’t yet.

“We’re gonna get tremendous publicity for him, he’s gonna fight twice this year in America.

“Then we’ll look for early next year to match Fury with either Wilder or Joshua, but I want that fight to be held in the United States because it’ll be a pay-per-view fight that’ll do two million homes.”

Anthony Joshua is the WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion
When asked if he had any preference as to whether Fury’s next big fight would be against Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder, the promoter simply replied: “Who cares? As long as the fight is in the United States.”

It was then put to Arum that a potential match-up between Fury and Joshua – the biggest fight in British boxing history – would do huge business in the fighters’ home country.

However, the 87-year-old is adamant that more money can be made by doing the bout in America.
