A 30-minute stunner from right-full back, Ibrahim Matthew and two quick beautiful goals from in-form attacker, Anas Yusuf in the 89th and 90+3′ minute respectively were all a resurgent Nasarawa United FC needed to register their first away victory in the on-going 2019/2020 Nigerian Professional Football League Season.

The week 15 tie against Dakkada FC at the prestigious Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State, which was shifted from the original midweek to Thursday,16th January, due to Akwa-United’s cracker against Kwara United on the same turf on Wednesday, saw Nasarawa United picking their first maximum away points of the season with the highest goal margin scored on the road in the week 15 fixtures across the country.

It was Ibrahim Matthew’s first goal since joining the team this season and Anas Yusuf’s third for the Governor Abdullahi Sule’s Boys this term.

The victory means Nasarawa United are back on their winning ways after their 0-1 loss to Rivers United on Wednesday, last week, at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port-Harcourt, and returned to the 17th position on the league log with 13 points, but having an outstanding week 14 home game against Enugu Rangers, while Dakkada FC drops to 5th from 4th position.

The Lafia-based outfit will be at home against Warri Wolves in the week 16 encounter on Sunday,19th January, 2020, and victory in that clash will lift them from the relegation zone.
