Bayelsa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Dr. Daniel igali has reiterated the readiness of the Ministry to partner the state chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN to fast track sports development in the state, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report

Dr. Igali who gave the assurance during a courtesy visit by SWAN members in his office in Yenagoa, said his ministry would continue to synergize with sports writers , pointing out that the Association has a big role to play in the promotion of Sports.

He commended SWAN for their support in the development of sports in the State, noting that the body has continued to live up to expectation with quality reportage of sporting activities across the country..

Earlier, the state chairman of SWAN Mr. Datonye Alambo explained that the essence of the visit was to seek the Ministry’s cooperation and support as its primary constituency.

Mr. Alambo while highlighting the importance of sports writers play in the development of the society stressed that Sports Journalists play critical role development of sports in the State.

Mr. Alambo also used the occasion to congratulate Mr. Daniel Igali on his appointment as Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development describing him as an astute Administrator with the experience to turn around the fortunes of Sports in the State for the better.
