Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze has thanked God for being faithful to him as he battled five months injury layoff after he returned to action on Sunday, www.bestchoicesports.com.ng

The Villarreal star return to the Yellow Submarines on Sunday and played the first match for his club since May 6 when he sustained injury during a Europa League Semi-final match against Arsenal.

The injury sidelined him since then but he made a comeo appearance on Sunday as Villarreal lost at home to Osasuna in the La Liga league.

Reacting after the match, the former Diamond Academy of Abia State player said it has been God all through as he passed through the injury period.

Chukwueze is expected to play on Tuesday as Villarreal visit Young Boys in matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League.

Villarreal currently lie on the bottom of the Group F standings and an away win would resurrect their hope of a knockout stage qualification.
