Not fewer than eight Local Government Areas in Kogi State will participate in the maiden 2020 Ajanah Memorial Basketball Championship slated to kick off this morning in Adavi Local Government Area, Okenne, Kogi state.

Over 80 great basketball players were at the match venue on Sunday when the draws for the 15th edition was made by the Local Organizing Committee.

This year’s championship started by Stakeholders Meeting where captains of the teams, coaches referees and members of Local Organising Committee deliberated on the way forward and draws held at the venue.

A minute silent was observed for late Ajanah the founder of the annual basketball competition after which jerseys were distributed to the participating teams in readiness for today’s kick off openers.

According to the fixture, match-day 1 will witness six matches where Ajaokuta Local Government takes on Kogi at 8 am, Ogori Magongo slugs it out with Adavi at 9:00am.

At 10am, Okene will lock horns witg Lokoja while Idah versus Okehi takes the center stage at 11am.
Ajaokuta face Okene at 4pm and at 5pm Ogori Magongo play their second game against Idah.
