Lapai Academy Battles Flash Arrows In Emir Umaru Bago U-21 National Football Competition

Lapai Football Academy will this afternoon battle Flash Arrows In the final of the HRH, Alhaji Umaru Bago 111 U-21 National Football Competition holding in Lapai, Niger State.
To reach the final, Lapai Academy defeated Savannah FC 5-4 on penalties in the first Semi-final played on Saturday.
Their opponents, Flash Arrows also overcame their Hurdles in the hands of Fresh FC with same scoreline to reach the final.
The first Semi-final was played by 8am which ended s scorelles while the second match was played by 4pm same day with the match proceeding into penalty shootout after no goal was scored by either side
Meanwhile in the 3rd-placed match decided this morning, Fresh FC were defeated 2-0 by Savannah FC by to win the 3rd best team of the tournament.
Today’s final the Emir Umaru Bago 111 National U-21 Football Competition organised by the Federation of Youth Soccer Clubs, FEYSOC, will kickoff by 4pm. The match will at the Mohammed Kobo Secondary School Football Field, Lapai, Niger State.
The three best teams of this competition will embark on tour of Dubai, Togo, Ghana and Benin Republic.
Football clubs from Niger, FCT, Nasarawa, Kaduna and Bauchi states took part in the competition which started on Sunday, 22nd November, 2020.
Speaking with our Correspondent, the Coordinator of the Competition, Umar Lapai said the tournament so far has been a huge success.
Mr Lapai who expressed confidence that the success recorded so far in the competition will be sustained, commended the participating football clubs and academies for their professionalism and sportsmanship.
Dignitaries that will grace the final today include former minister of youth and sports, Hon. Sani Ndanusa, Niger State Commissioner for Sports; Chairman, Niger State Football Association, Alhaji Ahmed Yusufu, among others.
