With the FIFA U-20 World Cup set to kick off today in Poland, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has deleted its series of pictures profiling the Flying Eagles of Nigeria on their twitter handle @Thenff, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The Nigerian Football Federation deleted from its official twitter handle, portraits of Flying Eagles players that will represent the West African nation at the World Cup in Poland.

The nations football body quickly deleted the pictures and profile of the players after Nigerians attacked and questioned the true ages of the players both on Twitter as well as Whatsapp platforms.

The profiling which where done between 3 to 5pm Tuesday all disappeared on Wednesday evening following barrage of attacks and questions from Nigerians some of who argued that the federation should be sincere to themselves and tell the word the true ages of the players.

This is after fans questioned the ages of the player going for the tournament scheduled to commence Thursday. According to some fans, the players are above 20 years of age.

The Flying Eagles are in Group D alongside Qatar, Ukraine, and the USA.

Concerning the picture of Ikouwem Utin, a defender with Enyimba FC of Aba, @DeMillanGuy_Kaka twitted “I can confirm the no 1. That guy is over 30. Played against him in 2012 he should be over 20 then self. 100% I have played with him many times.

“We cannot keep covering theses guys. It is getting out of hand. They are denying legit under 20s,” he said in several tweets.

Nigerians also questioned the true ages of the players in a popular Whatsapp platform, NSM re-branded calling on the federation to stop the embarrassment.
