NNL: Giant Brillars Vs Osun United Match Abandoned In Enugu

Heavy downpour at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, NAS, Enugu State, have forced officials of the Nigeria National League, NNL to stop the matchday 13 encounter between Giant Brillars FC the home team and Osun United FC of Osun State.

The match which was stopped by the match officials at first half has been rescheduled to continue oin Sunday, May 9, 2021.

Heavy downpour in the stadium and its vicinity affected visibility as well as slowed down the movement of the ball prompting the officials to call off the game in the meantime.

Osun United confirmed the development in a tweet on Saturday evening.

The club added that the match will continue from 44th minute by 8am on Sunday.

“Due to heavy and windy downpour, our match against Giant Brilllars has been postponed till 8am tomorrow Sunday, May 9, 2021.

“It will begin from 44th minute. The match was forced to stop at 44th minute” the club said.

As at the time the match was stopped, it was goalless.
