NRA Approves Reduction For Registration As Football Season Begins
As another football year approaches, the Nigeria Referees Associatian, NRA has released details of the 2020/2021 registration.
According to a circular released from the National Secretariat of the NRA and signed by the Secretary General, Dr Suleiman Usman Omezia, sent to all councils, registration has commenced and ends 31st December 2020.
Part of the circular to all the councils reads;
“I am directed by the President of the Nigeria Football Referees Association (NRA) on behalf of the National Executive Committee to thank all the State Chairmen for their unflinching cooperation and understanding during the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and the recent unrest nation-wide.
It is worthy of note that the NCDC has lifted ban on contact sports and football inclusive, therefore the 2020/2021 football season is scheduled to start on the 5th December, 2020.
“Sequel to the above, it’s pertinent to inform all that 2020/2021 annual registration has commenced”
Further to the circular, the National Secretariat indicated that the President, Otunba Tade Azeez has graciously approved a reduction in this year annual registration to cushion the effect of COVID-19 challenges on the referees.
“State Councils are therefore enjoined to forward their registration according to society with evidence of payment to the Secretary General while a soft copy of same to the National Financial Secretary via his email: firstname.lastname@example.org on or before 31st December, 2020.
“No late registration will be entertained. Attached to this circular is the registration fee and amount that should be paid to NRA account at Polaris Bank Nig. Ltd. NRA account number 4090766597.
Also attached to the circular is the form for identity card which must be filled in capital letter by only those who pay for their annual registration.
