With less than 24 hours after the Flying Eagles crashed out of the Poland 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup, coach of the side, Paul Aigbogun has cried out over alleged betrayal by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Bestchoicesports.com.ng understands.

According to report which Best Choice Sports could not authoritatively confirm at the time of compiling this report, Aigbogun alleged that the federation changed his list of players three times.

The report added that the coach had threatened to resign during Germany camping when he learnt that his team list have been compromised.

Allnigeriasoccer which reported the alleged betrayal, further added that the coach named some officials of the federation as well as one of his assistant coaches as those who forced players on him.

According to report, Coach Aigbogun had vowed not to return to Nigeria chosen instead to go back to England where he was quoted saying he would get job without delay.

“Aigbogun says he was betrayed by the Nigerian Federation and they were also involved in this scam of substandard players selected for the World Cup. Mentioned the team secretary, curator, assistant coaches as collecting bribe ‘on his behalf’.

“Paul Aigbogun says hes ( he is) returning to England & has vowed to get a better job after the Nigeria U20s mishap in Poland.

“Aigbogun claims the video analyst and team’s physical trainer, he pays them not the NFF, including their hotel bills.”

While facing barrage of criticisms from the followers on the auntnticity of the report, the paper in a follow up story said “Tell the Media Officer to confirm this breaking news. The Flying Eagles players and officials have just landed in the Polish capital, Warsaw and have planned to protest in a big way,” the paper reported.

Earlier Tuesday morning, it was reported that the players protested against none payment of their allowances and vowed not to leave their hotel. But after much intervention from NFF officials including the secretary general who pleaded with the players “not to disgrace us”, the players rescinded their stand and bordered a play to Warsaw from where the home-based players will connect flight back home while oversea players will also find their route.
