Football superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo and his long-term partner Georgina Rodríguez are set to marry next weekend on August 8, 2026, in Portugal.

According to reports the couple will exchange vows in Ronaldo’s hometown in Funchal, Madeira. The highly anticipated ceremony marks a milestone for the pair, who have been together since 2016 and got engaged in August 2025.

The wedding is scheduled to take place at the historic 16th-century Funchal Cathedral “According to local reports, Funchal Cathedral, located in the island’s capital, has been reserved for a grand wedding next Saturday.”, as noted by Daily Mail. The location holds immense sentimental value, situated just miles away from the hospital where Ronaldo was born and the training grounds of his boyhood club, Nacional da Madeira.

Following the 3:00 p.m. ceremony, the wedding party will shift to the luxurious Savoy Palace Hotel for the reception. The five-star resort has reportedly cleared two full floors and several lounge spaces to preserve absolute privacy for the high-profile celebration.

While neither Ronaldo nor Rodríguez has publicly shared a confirmed guest list, media outlets report a VIP lineup crossing sports, music, and entertainment. Expected attendees include: Longtime teammates and peers like David Beckham, Pepe, Marcelo, and Rio Ferdinand. Sporting icons such as Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Khabib Nurmagomedov as well as listers including Drake, Rihanna, Travis Scott, and Vin Diesel.
