Super Eagles Will Deliver Against Liberia, Cape Verde In World Cup Qualifiers – Eguavoen

The Technical Director, Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Augustine Eguavoen has expressed optimism that the senior male natonal team, Super Eagles will deliver against Liberia and Verde in the matchday 5 and 6 of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, www.bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The former head coach of the team who stated this on his Facebook timeline expressed delight over the great atmosphere, spirit and mental state of the players in the Tangier camp in Morocco.

“I love the atmosphere, spirit and mental state of our darling Super Eagles in Tanger, Morrocco.

“I strongly and prayerfully believe that they will deliver against Liberia tomorrow (today) and Cape Verde on Tuesday in Lagos,” he said.

Eguavoen who played as a defender during his time and had 49 caps with one goal for the Super Eagles from 1987 to 1998, appreciated God for ‘everything’

“We thank God Almighty for everything. Our God is good.”

Nigeria will battle Liberia in Morocco today, Saturday, November 13 in the penultimate Group C match before they return to Lagos to face Cape Verde in the last group match on Tuesday next week.

The Gernot Rohr-led lads lead the group with 9 points, 2 above second placed Cape Verde while their today’s opponents, Liberia sat on the bottom with three points from four matches.

The first leg in Lagos ended 2-0 in favour of Nigeria on September 3rd, 2021.
