The Quarter-finals of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Cameroon begin today with two matches and four Nations seeking for two semi-final tickets.

With the boys separated from the men, 16 out of 24 teams are already home and dry, 8 teams are still left to slug it out for the quest on who dethrones Algeria as the New Africa Kings of Football

Debutants, the Gambia are aiming to continue their upsurge in the tournament as they battle hosts, Cameroon in the first match of the day.

Burkina Faso had five points from 3 matches at the group level needed a penalty shootout to edge Cape Verde in the last 16 tie.

Tunisia, the most unfancied team to reach this stage after uninspiring group stage performance have grown in strength with their 1-0 win against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

The winners of today’s matches will  face off in the semi-finals.

There are three matches all the 8 teams must play if they should have hope of winning the trophy.
